What is the Malaysian Higher Religious Certificate (STAM)?
The Malaysian Higher Religious Certificate (STAM) was first introduced in 2000 as a result of collaboration between the Malaysian Ministry of Education and Al-Azhar University.
This aims to coordinate and replace several previously existing private exams, for example the Religious Education Certificate, Higher Education Certificate, and Religious Certificate.
The Malaysian Higher Certificate of Religion is one of the General Examinations held by the Examinations Council (LP) to enable Malaysian and non-Malaysian students to continue their studies abroad such as Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt or to State Universities in Malaysia.
Generally this exam is taken after taking the Sijil Belajar Malaysia (SPM) exam or while in Form Six.
