What is the Malaysia Futsal Cup?

Malaysian Futsal Cup or Malaia Futsal Cup is an annual Futsal Club competition in Malaysia organized by the Malaysian Football Association (FAM). The teams that meet the requirements for competition are based on their performance in Malaysia Premier Futsal League (MPFL).

The first time was contested in 2022. This competition featured 8 teams consisting of 6 teams that met the requirements and 2 other teams from the qualifying round.

The winner of the competition will be given a slot to compete at the AFF futsal club championship.

Match format

Starting in 2025, Malaysian Futsal Cup comes in a new format that is more competitive and balanced.

Team qualifications

• The top six teams From the MPFL 1 division will automatically meet the requirements to the main round, based on their performance throughout the season.
• Different from the previous format, Two Destructive Division 1 teams no longer meet the requirements.
• Instead of, champion and naib champion mpfl division 2 Will fill the last two slots to complete the list of eight competitive teams.

KO format

Competitive competition is based on the KO system starting from the quarter -finals stage:

• Each round (quarter -finals & semi -final) takes place Two reciprocal matches (Home & Away)Give both teams of fair opportunities to play in their respective courts.
