Celery update 2.5

Today, I launched a significant update to Heepix. While version 2.0 is a substantial update, I decided to postpone certain features that require broader development. Version 2.5 today introduces many new features, along with a framework that is completely rewritten.

When I first launched Heepix in September 2024, most of the UI was built using the Apple UKIKK Framework. Uikit, the foundation of iOS development from the start, ready to be replaced by Swiftui in the future. While both frameworks have advantages and disadvantages, Swiftui offers greater flexibility in designing layout on various devices. Initially, I began to transmit my application to Swiftui in version 2.0, but certain components proved too complicated to be handled at that time. However, with version 2.5, I have succeeded in removing all elements of the UKIT, changing Heepix into a completely original swiftui application. This change has allowed me to expand the compatibility of my application, allowing it to run on the iPad, Mac, and Vision Pro!

Another feature that I have long wanted in Heepix is ​​the ability to play photos directly when compatible photos are detected nearby. This feature is easier to apply after rewriting the gallery on Swiftui. Now, when the photo is immediately loaded, the indicator appears in the photo, shows that it is alive. You can long press images to play it, like in the photo application.

Like any update, this release includes bug improvements and improvement improvement. The application transition to Swiftui allows me to improve the code base, produce cleaner implementation and reduce overhead. By deleting the storyboard element from UKITK, this application is now slimmer, compact, and faster to download.

The significant increase in this version is the way the location service is handled. I made a special location manager that allows various application parts to access location data more efficiently. This replaces the previous approach, where each display has its own manager, which causes unnecessary tension when navigating between views.

Finally, I enhance many UI elements to achieve a cleaner and more cohesive aesthetics. With this improvement, I am proud to say this version feels ready for marketing and sharing with a wider audience.

The direct photo playback feature adds a touch of magic, allowing you to interact with your memory unlike before. Just pressing photos directly, and watching it lives, complete with elegant indicators to guide the way.

Behind the scenes, this application has experienced total improvement, with a smarter location management that increases speed and efficiency, along with a slimmer and more concise frame that is more quickly downloaded and used. Each UI element has been permissed carefully to create a slim and cohesive aesthetic that feels intuitive and pleasant.
