Introduction – Public Service Academic Recognition Prizes

The Prime Minister has announced that the government has agreed to provide academic recognition prizes (HPA) in the form of financial incentives to civil servants (management & professional groups and implementing groups) who started and graduated.

This step is in line with the government’s efforts to improve the efficiency, professionalism, and welfare of civil servants at all levels, thus ensuring that the state development agenda is carried out more effectively.

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the same incentive would be given to those who have higher academic qualifications recognized during service, using their own expenses.

According to him, the government has allocated the Ringgit RM75.7 million budget which will benefit 91,672 civil servants in all service schemes.

Total Academic Recognition Total

The amount of incentives offered is

• RM1.250.00 for those who have a doctorate degree;
• RM1,000.00 for them can receive a master’s degree;
• Rm750.00 for those who have a bachelor’s degree and
• RM500.00 for those who have a diploma or equivalent qualification.
