For Malaysian Airlines, Firefly, and Maswings customers, the following are policies and guidelines for using powerbank on the announced aircraft:
Effective April 1, 2025, all passengers traveling with Malaysia Airlines, Firefly, and Maswings must comply with the latest policies about Powerbank in -Aircraft.
The power bank must be brought at any time and cannot be placed in the top luggage compartment.
During the flight, you can store it in your hands under the chair, or in the pocket of the chair in front of you.
Magnetic wireless charger bank must be stored in separate bags or protective bags to prevent accidental activation.
Filling or using Powerbank is strictly prohibited along the flight.
Powerbank and lithium-ion batteries in the check-in trunk are strictly prohibited.

For AirAsia customers, Air Asia has issued policies and guidelines for using powerbank on aircraft as follows:
Passengers are only allowed to carry a portable battery (Powerbank) not exceeding 100 watts of hours (WH) to the plane.
Cellular batteries between 100WH and 160WH require the approval of the airline on -in -in.
For safety purposes:
- Cellular batteries are prohibited into checks -in the trunk and must be taken to the cabin.
- Cellular batteries must be stored in a seat pocket in front or under a chair.
- Cellular batteries are prohibited from stored in the upper storage room.
- Cellular batteries are prohibited from being used on all flights.
- Cellular batteries are prohibited from being used to charge other cellular electronic devices in all flights.
