EPF Dividend 2026 – 2025 Dividend Announcement & Review

LATEST: The Employee’s Provident Fund (EPF) will announce the 2025 dividend amount on February 28, 2026 (Saturday) through a special briefing to the media.

EPF dividends are usually declared around the first quarter of every year, i.e. between January and March. The announcement of the 2026 EPF dividend for the 2025 financial year (ending 31 December 2025) is scheduled for mid to late February 2026, or no later than early March 2026. The EPF announcement will be made via mass media and social media channels as well as the official EPF website later. Visit the official portal or social media of EPF Employee Provision Fund for review at a date to be announced later.

With the recovery of global economic performance and encouraging investment momentum, many parties hope that the announcement of the 2026 EPF dividend for the 2025 fiscal year will bring positive news.

The following is the official announcement of the 2026 EPF dividend distribution for the 2025 financial year.

What is EPF Dividend?

EPF Dividend, or Employees Provident Fund (EPF), refers to the annual profits declared and distributed to members based on the investment performance of their provident fund.

It is calculated as a percentage of the savings balance throughout the financial year (1 January to 31 December), with a minimum guarantee of 2.5% for conventional savings as per the EPF Act 1991 (Article 27).

Meanwhile, sharia savings depend entirely on sharia-compliant investment returns with no minimum guarantee.

Expected EPF Dividend 2026

The official announcement regarding EPF dividends for the 2025 financial year (ending 31 December 2025) until the end of January 2026 has not been made.

Experts’ expectations suggest a figure of approx 5.5% to 6.5%with most forecasts to remain at or above 6% based on strong investment performance in the first half and nine months of 2025.

EPF investment income increased 3% to RM38.92 billion in the first half of 2025, driven by global equities, supporting higher dividends compared to 2024 (6.30%).

For the nine months of 2025, revenue reached RM63.99 billion, up 11% from the previous year, putting the fund on a higher distribution path.

However, the final dividend level depends on EPF’s ability to balance its asset size which currently stands at more than RM1.3 trillion.

Due to the increasing size of the fund, EPF requires a much higher amount of net profit to declare each 1% dividend compared to previous years.

However, with Malaysia’s stable economic momentum and overseas investment diversification strategy, analysts believe the EPF will be able to maintain or exceed its 2024 performance (6.3%) when its official announcement is made in March 2026.

With this positive projection, contributors can look forward to dividend distribution that is not only competitive but also stable, in line with EPF’s mission to ensure the financial well-being of the Malaysian people.

EPF Dividend Declaration Date 2026
