Examples of PKSK questions together with answers
For special school acceptance such as full dormitory schools and religious high schools, students need to sit for SME tests. Announcement of certain school entry assessment tests, PKSK can be reviewed at www.moe.gov.my/.
To ensure that your application is accepted, you can refer to examples of PKS questions or special school acceptance assessments for preparation.
The following is an example of PKSK questions with examples of examples of sample answers to facilitate candidates to prepare special schools and MRSM for session 2026/2027.

About PKSK
PKS is a method of selecting students to enter special schools:
- Full Boarding School (SBP)
- National Religious Middle School (SMKA)
- Technical High School (SMT) and Vocational College (KV),
- Royal Army College (MTD)
- Mara Science College (MRSM)
Reception to special schools is through the Single Entry Point Development System online using the Student Database Application (APDM) application.
Important date of PKSK 2026/2027
- Application: August 1, 2025 – 7 September 2025.
- Test center review: September 12, 2025.
- PKSK exam:
- Form 1: Starting October 7, 2025.
- Level 4: 7 October – 17 October 2025.
- Offering reviews: December 2025.

UKM is divided into three main parts:
1. Part A: Soft intelligence (EQ, SQ, SSQ)
- Measuring the character and intelligence of emotions, spiritual, and social candidates.
- Consists of 30 objective questions.
- There is no correct or wrong answer.
- Contribute 20% to the overall score.
2. Part B: Intellectual Intelligence
- Measuring the level of IQ, general knowledge, and problem solving.
- It consists of 70 objective questions including mathematical questions, science, and 10 English questions to test mastery and understanding.
- The answer period is around 90 minutes.
- Contribute 70% to the overall score.
3. Section C: Writing Articulation
- Candidates will choose one of the three essay titles that will be written in Malay.
- Minimum 100 words for forms 1 and 250 words for form 4.
- The time period is given about 45 minutes.
- Contribute 10% to the overall score.
Implementation of PKSK
CMS implementation is carried out in two phases:
- Phase 1: Candidates prepare the first essay (part c).
- Phase 2: Candidates answer section A and b online questions at the assessment center prescribed by KPM.
Examples of PKSK Questions
The following are examples of SMS questions that can be referred to:
1. Part of a
Part A in CMS is about soft intelligence, which includes aspects of emotional intelligence (EQ), spiritual intelligence (SQ), and social intelligence (SSQ).
The purpose of this section is to evaluate the character and values of student candidates, such as how they handle feelings, interacting with others, and the moral values they practice.
Questions in part A are usually objective and have no correct or wrong answers because they assess the level of thought and attitudes of candidates.
Examples of part A questions are often related to how candidates face situations such as stress, relationships with friends, or appropriate actions in certain social situations.
Examples of pksk questions part A (SQ, EQ and SSQ) questions
1. If you have dinner with your family, what will you do?
Answer: Helps serving food, reading prayers before eating, and cleaning the table after eating.
2. If you are intimidated in the dormitory, what should you do?
Answer: Report the incident to the dormitory or teacher, tell parents, and seek support from trusted friends.
3. How do you overcome the pressure at school?
Answer: Create an organized study schedule, discuss with the teacher or counselor, and do recreation activities to reduce stress.
4. What do you need to do if you often see someone sneezing?
Answer: advise him for care and maintain his personal cleanliness so as not to spread to others.
5. If your friend fights, what will you do?
Answer: Discuss with both parties to find peace and encourage re -alienation.
6. What should be done when meeting the dormitory guard for the first time?
Answer: Introduce yourself politely, spread your hands to shake hands.
7. What should a father do in the family?
Answer: Responsible for protecting the family and is a good example for children.

2. Part b
Part B in PKSK (Specific School Entry Assessment) is to measure Intellectual Intelligence (IQ) candidate. It includes:
- Objective questions as many as 70 questions including IQ aspects, general knowledge, and problem solving.
- Questions include mathematics, science (qualitative and quantitative) and 10 English questions to test the level of mastery and understanding.
- The answer period is around 90 minutes.
- This section contributed 70% of the total PKSK score.
Part B focuses on measuring cognitive levels, general knowledge, and problem solving skills to enter special schools such as SBP, SMKA, MRSM, SMT, KV and MTD.
Examples of PKS Questions Part B (Intellectual Intelligence)
Questions include various subjects such as mathematics, science, Malay, English, technology and general knowledge. For example:
- Mathematics: If the price of the book is RM12.50, how much does it cost to buy 8 books?
- Science: What is the Energy Unit in the International Unit System (SI)?
- Malay: Choose sentences that use adjectives correctly.
- History: What is the theme of National Day 2024?
- Geography: What is the name of the Capital of Malaysia?
- Technology: Who is the founder of Facebook?
- GENERAL KNOWLEDGE: Who is the 8th Malaysian Prime Minister?

3. Part c
Section C in the Assessment of Special School Acceptance (PKS) is part of the articulation of writing.
This tests the ability of candidates to express ideas and opinions in writing in the form of essays.
Candidates will be given three essay titles and need to choose one to be written in Malay.
Some of the main features of the C PKSK section are:
- Essays must have a minimum of 100 words for candidate form 1 and a minimum of 250 words for form 4 candidates.
- The time period given to write an essay is about 45 minutes.
- This section uses written and subjective methods.
- The score for section C is 10% of the total PKSK.
Part C is carried out in writing at the assessment center determined by the Ministry of Education Malaysia as the first phase in the implementation of CMS before the candidate occupies the Division A and B Online

FAQ Examples of PKSK Questions
PKSK (Special School Revenue Assessment) is a centralized test by the Malaysian Ministry of Education to enter special schools such as SBP, SMKA, MRSM, SMT, KV, and MTD.
